Criminal Investigation Agents of the Attorney General's Office (FGE) in coordination with other authorities carried out the execution of arrest warrants against municipal police officers and the Morelos Police, for their supposed participation in a case of forced disappearance. Among the detainees are at least eight individuals, including one from Emiliano Zapata and several from the Morelos Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC). The arrests took place at various locations in Morelos, following arrest warrants issued by a judge.

In the arrest operation, agents from the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Forced Disappearance of Persons participated, with the support of the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSyPC), National Defense, National Guard, and Navy infantry. According to reports, the detainees, who were assigned to the police of the municipality of Xochitepec at the time of the crime, are accused of the disappearance of Job F. S., whose whereabouts were lost while being transferred to a police station, and has been missing since.

The family of Job F. S. pointed out the police officers and went to federal authorities seeking answers. The arrests were made at several locations in Morelos, including Congreso de Morelos, Torre Morelos, and the State Academy of Higher Studies in Security. In a video circulating on social media, the moment of the police officers' arrest can be seen, who are escorted by Criminal Investigation agents.

The detainees are being presented before the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and in the coming hours, a specialized control judge will determine their legal situation. To date, both the SSPC and the Morelos Prosecutor's Office have kept the case confidential to avoid obstructing investigations. The municipality of Emiliano Zapata, under the direction of Santos Tabares, clarified in a statement that, concerning the arrests of police officers linked to forced disappearances, only one member of the local corporation is implicated, and the corresponding investigations began in previous administrations.
